Teacher Notes

A. Prior to the lesson:

1. Arrange students into groups. Each group needs at least ONE person who has a mobile device.

2. If their phone camera doesn't automatically detect and decode QR codes, ask students to

3. Print out the QR codes.

4. Cut them out and place them around your class / school.

B. The lesson:

1. Give each group a clipboard and a piece of paper so they can write down the decoded questions and their answers to them.

2. Explain to the students that the codes are hidden around the school. Each team will get ONE point for each question they correctly decode and copy down onto their sheet, and a further TWO points if they can then provide the correct answer and write this down underneath the question.

3. Away they go! The winner is the first team to return with the most correct answers in the time available. This could be within a lesson, or during a lunchbreak, or even over several days!

1. Où attend-on le train?à la gare de Lillois.C’est dans la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle que la construction qui se trouvait de l’autre côté des voies.
2. Descendez la rue René Franc. Rendez-vous au monument aux morts. C'est durant la guerre 14 - 18 qui opposait la Triple-Alliance ( Allemagne, Autriche-Hongrie et Italie) contre la Triple-Entente ( France,Royaume-Unis et Russie)que de nombreux morts ont été dénombrés. Beaucoup d'entre eux étaient Belge car ils sont passés par chez nous.C'est pourquoi ce monument est la pour nous rappeler cette grande guerre (1ère Guerre Mondiale).
3. Où se cache les deux sœurs qui sonnent? Ce bâtiment moderne date de 1973. Il est dédié à Sainte Gertrude.
4. S'il faut choisir un sentier je prendrais le numéro 60? petit sentier de ballades pour nous faire découvrir les richesses naturelles et historiques de la région.
5. Où se trouve la rue du moulin? C'est bien ici.Nous nous trouvons dans la rue du moulin.
6. D'où vient mon nom? Construit en 1859, le moulin de Lillois s’arrêta de fonctionner
